This technology allows for material processing toward a variety of target geometries including:
S-Gun and Ring targets appropriate for use in Varian and Sloan systems are also readily available. Larger targets are made using inlay construction, close-fitting two or more sections with overlapping joints. Custom shapes and sizes are possible through Materion Advanced Chemicals’ made-to-order program.

Manufacturing Processes
Materion Advanced Chemicals manufactures sputtering targets from a wide variety of compositions in various purity levels, allowing customers to match targets to their specific requirements. Many of the materials used to manufacture the targets are synthesized in-house. This allows production of standard items and rare or less frequently used compositions at competitive prices. Backing plates, bonding and silver epoxy bonding cement are also available.
