Precision Optics

At Materion Corporation we understand that applications for the defense and science markets, particularly precision optics, present some of the most significant and difficult challenges. We understand these challenges and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to help you through all of your precision optics projects. In fact, we supplied the GENESIS (global environmental and Earth science information system) mission which launched into Earth’s orbit in 2003, as well as the Juno mission to Jupiter and the Mars Science Lab mission, both scheduled to launch in 2011.

Infrared Coatings and Optics

Focused on customer services, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with innovative thin film solutions for the toughest problems and harshest conditions. We are a major provider of high performance, infrared coatings and optics for military night vision equipment, targeting components and threat detection systems.

Our coating expertise extends across the infrared spectrum from short to very long wave. We provide BBAR, LWP and band pass filters for detector level windows as well as lens systems.

Optical Coating Materials

Materion offers a full range of optical thin film coating materials for use in defense, security and anti-reflection applications with materials covering the infrared, ultraviolet and visible wavelength regions.
