Evaluation, testing and failure analysis are all critical elements in the successful development and production of optical thin film coatings. Finished thin film coatings are examined and evaluated against application-specific standard test protocols, including visual inspections and environmental, mechanical and solubility tests, to ensure that the coatings meet the application system operation requirements.
