ISR platforms have proliferated with the increased use of unmanned vehicles (UAV) in space, airborne, land and sea applications. Use of piloted systems are still a valued option however, they require long and costly cycle time to schedule, gather data, interpret and produce viable information to the warfighter. As theater demands for quicker Intel turnaround evolved, traditional platforms have given way to smaller craft which may be inserted at the local level. This allows for “hands on” control of surveillance ops, intel acquisition, analysis and feedback for the local commander, all in reduced cycle time.

The challenge to the optical sensor/camera designer is to provide cost effective, lighter and smaller, more versatile optics in reduced payload and footprint.

Our coating designs can help reduce optical count and weight by allowing for a single window to receive and split off spectra for multispectral and hyperspectral applications. Filter performance can include multibands in UV, VIS, SWIR, MWIR and LWIR spectra.
