Engineered Coating Development-TFDC

The Thin Films Development Center (TFDC) at Materion Large Area Coatings is a specialized R&D group created to help customers develop special processes and new materials to meet their unique requirements. The TFDC has the ability and skill to take any project from blue prints to full production. Our team of experienced engineers can work with you to provide all manufacturing specifications from start to finish and can define and provide written documentation for each customer's unique process.

Many R&D labs or customers developing new products don't have the materials and equipment available on-site to easily try new processes. For these customers, Materion Large Area Coatings offers half and full day facility visits for our customers' team of engineers and project managers to come and network with our team of engineers in the TFDC and use our equipment to develop specific processes. Teamwork and collaboration into a cross-functional network of engineering resources is highly recommended.
