Two of the largest, most efficient chemical and electrolytic refineries in the United States are operated by Materion Microelectronics and Services. Our state-of-the-art refining facilities were specifically designed to refine precious metal and valuable scrap materials received from our customers and our own manufacturing scrap by-products. Gold, Palladium, Platinum, Silver, Rhodium, Ruthenium and select valuable materials are refined to their purest forms.
Materion Microelectronics and Services utilizes a combination of classic fire assay and wet gravimetric or instrumental procedures such as ICAP, GDMS, Mass Spectroscopy or XRF. These services are provided in both of our refining locations.
Our refining facilities and operations meet or exceed all governmental regulations including OSHA, DEC and local Sewer Authority specifications. We maintain an experienced Safety and Compliance Engineering staff, along with highly capable technicians to monitor all processes, equipment and effluent. All metals, precious and non-precious, are fully recycled with no byproducts ending up in landfills.
