Materion Microelectronics and Services offers sputtering target recycling options to reduce the cost of ownership by providing quick target material credit to our customers.
Target recycling allows recovered target material to be used in new target material purchases or credit. Materion Microelectronics and Services accepts spent sputtering targets that have been both manufactured by Materion or by other suppliers.
The sputtering target will be removed from any supplied backing plate and processed individually using the appropriate assaying and refining technology. The backing plate can be stored or refurbished for a future order or returned back to customer.
Materion Microelectronics and Services also offers refining of the other by products of thin film deposition processes including:
- Precision Parts Cleaning
- Chamber Scrapings
- Scrap Wafers and materials
- Used evaporation crucibles
Materion Microelectronics and Services’ refining facilities and operations meet or exceed all governmental regulations including OSHA, DEC and local Sewer Authority specifications. We maintain an experienced Safety and Compliance Engineering staff, along with highly capable technicians to monitor all processes, equipment and effluent. All metals, precious and non-precious, are fully recycled with no byproducts ending up in landfills.
