BrushCast® high strength casting Alloy 3C  provides excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, and nearly three times the conductivity of the high strength alloys, twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum alloys, and ten times that of steel.

Beryllium – 0.35 – 0.80%
Nickel – 1.0 – 2.0%
Copper - balance

Alloy 3C Physical Properties

Elastic Modulus -  20 106 psi  (140 Gpa)
Density -  0.319 lb/in3 (8.83 g/cm3)
Thermal Conductivity 70°F / 20°C -  144 BTU/ft•hr•°F   (250 W/m•K)
Electrical Conductivity -   45-50% IACS (26.2-29.1 MS/m)
Coefficient of Thermal Expansion - 10 ppm/°F  (18 ppm/°C)
Melting Range – 1900 – 1975 °F   (1040 - 1080°C)
