Nickel Beryllium Alloys

Nickel Beryllium Alloys

Nickel beryllium is a precipitation (age) hardenable alloy characterized by high levels of strength, hardness and thermal conductivity combined with excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, thermal shock and oxidation from room temperature to operating temperatures approaching 800° F (425° C).  It is similar in appearance to stainless steel, and is noted for steel-like hardness and strength levels surpassing many of the high strength steel and nickel-based alloys.  It possesses good formability characteristics and excellent resistance to stress relaxation.

Alloy 360 beryllium nickel strip by Materion Brush Performance Alloys combines unique mechanical and physical properties required in today’s high reliability fire protection systems, heavy duty controls, electrical /electronic systems, electromechanical devices and in other high performance applications.
