ToughMet 3TS UNS NUMBER C72900

Copper Nickel Tin Alloys

ToughMet 3TS UNS NUMBER C72900

ToughMet 3TS by Materion Brush Performance Alloys is the solution to your severe service material problems. ToughMet 3 TS is the cold worked and spinodally hardened  (TXTS) condition of this copper nickel tin alloy.

Advantages/benefits of ToughMet 3 TSOutstanding lubricity and durability in demanding applications

By applying our EquaCast process, tailored alloying additions and spinodal hardening technology, we have engineered the ToughMet TS temper to provide attributes beyond those typically found in a high-strength copper alloy.

  • Highly uniform composition in all product forms
  • Exceptional resistance to corrosion and cavitation
  • Available in a wide range of continuous-cast shapes and sizes

Common uses and applications of ToughMet 3 TS

ToughMet 3 TS tempers are commonly used in the oil and gas exploration industry in pressure housings for instrument packages, and for aircraft bushings requiring resistance to high loads.
