Alloy 390

Copper Beryllium Alloys

Alloy 390

Alloy 390® UNS Number C17460

Alloy 390® by Materion Brush Performance Alloys combines the best attributes of the two separate families of commercial copper beryllium alloys, with the strength of the “high strength” Alloy 25 and the conductivity of “high conductivity” Alloy 3 and Alloy 174.  In addition to the combination of high strength and conductivity, it has excellent stress relaxation resistance at elevated temperatures. Alloy 390 was specifically designed for high power applications. This alloy is proving successful in handheld communication devices for its promise of increasing battery life and reducing charging times due to its enhanced electrical conductivity.   In applications where durability, power management and or harsh operating environments are of concern, its excellent fatigue strength extends product life and improves product.  Alloy 390 features high conductivity, excellent stress relaxation performance, excellent resilience, and excellent fatigue strength.
