Disposable Parts
Materion Microelectronics and Services offers optional disposable PVD shield parts as an alternative to reusable parts. Disposable parts are designed and fabricated to meet all OEM specifications. Custom surface finishes and cleaning techniques are utilized to reduce pump down times, and in process particulates.
Disposable shields offer a unique cost of ownership (CoO) model which reduce shield inventory and shipping costs. Additional advantages with disposable shields are more cost effective high value deposition materials recovery and shorter settlement times. A parts stocking program is available to minimize customer on-site parts inventory and cost.
