Operating two of the largest, and most efficient hydrometallurgical and electrochemical refining operations for precious metals in the United States, Materion Microelectronics & Services state-of-the-art refining facilities were specifically designed to refine precious metal scrap materials received from customers and their internal manufacturing scrap byproducts. During these 100 years of experience providing precious metal recovery services to its valued customers, Materion has developed extensive capabilities that leading companies leverage to gain an advantage. Materion Microelectronics and Services has developed a particular capability to refine and produce very high purity and significant volumes of 99.999% gold and 99.999% silver, which serve as critical and specialized inputs into technology driven and high reliability applications.

Recovery and refining services are concentrated for the processing of Au, Ag, Pd and Pt but also extend into other valuable materials including Rh, Ir, Ru, Re,Ga and In. Materion Microelectronics & Services extends these capabilities to service a wide array of technically demanding markets and can accept a wide variety of inputs and scraps into our refinery.
Materion Microelectronics & Services recognizes the confidential nature of many of our customers scrap byproducts. We regularly enter into specific confidentiality agreements and can provide full certificate of destruction reports as required.
Our facilities work under an extremely high level of security. Our customers recognize that our security systems are some of the best in the business. Materion Microelectronics and Services regularly provides security recommendations to our customers as a value added service.
