Next generation battery electrochemistries require deep drawing of complex can assemblies. These materials require unique combinations of mechanical, chemical, and electrical performance.
Materion Solution:
Cladding layers of nickel and stainless steel creates an optimized design for flat and hearing aid battery cans. The tri-clad is easily deep drawn and fabricated. Additional layers of copper, tin, zinc, and even gold can be introduced for specialty applications.
