BRUSHFORM® 96

BrushForm 96 (BF 96) strip is a high-performance, heat treatable spinodal copper nickel tin alloy designed to provide optimal formability and strength characteristics in conductive spring applications such as connectors, switches, and sensors. It is available in both pre-heat treated (mill hardened) and heat treatable (age hardenable) forms.

ADVANTAGES OF COPPER NICKEL TIN STRIP

BF 96 exhibits strength and formability approaching that of BrushForm 158, with increased conductivity.  It does not contain beryllium, so it can be used in applications where a beryllum-free alloy is desired.

SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS

  • BF  96 is covered by ASTM B740 and UNS C72700
