And, it doesn’t contain lead or other hazardous materials. Aerospace material specifications are in place for all ToughMet tempers, and it is already an approved material used for all major commercial and military programs. FORMS AVAILABLE ToughMet is available in plate, rod, tube and rings. Mechanical properties may vary by product size, form and temper. Please see data sheets for specific values. We can also supply rough machine blanks to meet customer supplied drawings. SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS ToughMet 3 AT meets UNS C72900. Rod is produced to AMS 4596, ABS 5849, MTL 4112, BMS 7-373 (Class 100 and Class 90). Tube is produced to AMS 4598 and ABS 5152. Plate is produced to AMS 4595 (Plate). ToughMet 3 AT is compliant to NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.
