I-70-H GRADE BERYLLIUM

I-70-H grade beryllium is hot isostatically pressed beryllium consisting of 99% beryllium with a maximum of 0.7% beryllium oxide.

Low oxide grades are preferred for bare beryllium mirrors because they yield a lower level scatter and polish easier than higher oxide grades. I-70-H is stable over a temperature range of 77K to 500K and offers superior reflectivity in the far infrared region (98.5% at 8-12 micron wavelengths without optical coatings).
