RAW & HIGH-PURITY BERYLLIUM METAL


Pure beryllium metal provides high strength, stiffness, low density, heat resistance and reflectivity, making it an ideal material for advanced defense and industrial applications.

Materion’s raw beryllium metal, known as B-26-D, is a high purity vacuum melted and cast metal. It is used to make alloys and for applications that do not need specific mechanical properties.

We also offer an ultra-high purity beryllium metal known as UHP 9999. At 99.99% purity, this metal is used in laboratories for cutting-edge research.

B-26-D

Raw beryllium, B-26-D, is commonly used when alloys need beryllium, but the exact mechanical properties of the alloy are not critical. Materion certifies this metal to conform to a minimum purity of 99.0%. Product forms and dimensions include:

  • Cylindrical billets

  • Sizes that range from 0.125 to 1.5 inches (3 to 40 mm)

  • Chips that are approximately 0.040 x 0.125 x 0.005 inches (1 x 3 x 0.1 mm)

UHP9999

Ultra-high purity beryllium, UHP 9999 is the highest purity beryllium metal we make. This 99.99% beryllium product offers both research laboratories and semiconductor manufacturers unique property characteristics. UHP 9999 is used to make P-type semiconductors and high-end neutron collimators. It is available in 1 to 5 gram pieces.
