Its high hardness provides durability in applications where other high conductivity copper alloys fail. This alloy is used for injection mold cores and cavities as well as pinch-offs for blow molds. MoldMAX LH® Alloy MoldMAX LH alloy is another premium copper beryllium plastic tooling and moldmaking alloy, It provides hardness and strength comparable to standard AISI P-20 tool steel, but with a thermal conductivity that is five times higher. This alloy is commonly used for injection mold cores and cavities and pinch-offs for blow molds. MoldMAX LH alloy is available in rounds, square and rectangular bars, plate and forged rings. MoldMAX XL® Alloy MoldMAX XL alloy is a high strength copper nickel tin mold alloy with good thermal conductivity. The alloy’s hardness is comparable with AISI P-20 tool steel, but its thermal conductivity is two to three times higher. PROTherm® Alloy PROTherm alloy is a high conductivity copper beryllium alloy with good strength. This alloy has the highest conductivity of any alloy with tensile strength in excess of 100,000 psi. It is commonly used for injection mold cores, blow mold cavities and hot runners. PROtherm material is available in rounds, square and rectangular bars, plate and forged rings. ThermoMet Alloy ThermoMet alloy (UNS C18000) is a copper nickel silicon chromium alloy with high strength and hardness along with high electrical and thermal conductivity. In plastic molds it can shorten cycle times, improve part consistency, improve line maintenance and is corrosion resistant. For resistance welding it offers longer wear and resists mushrooming. WeldPak & WeldPak XL WeldPak copper beryllium is used as filler metal for TIG (GTAW) weld repair of copper beryllium, PROtherm alloy and the MoldMAX family of alloys. It is commonly used to repair cracks or to build up worn surfaces. WeldPak meets UNS C17200. WeldPak XL is used as filler metal for TIG (GTAW) weld repair of MoldMAX XL alloy. It is commonly used for repairing cracks or building up worn surfaces. WeldPak XL meets UNS C72900.
