HIGH TEMPERATURE NICKEL BERYLLIUM ALLOY 360


Nickel beryllium Alloy 360 (UNS N03360) is age hardened to achieve high levels of strength, hardness and thermal conductivity. Alloy 360 is used for mechanical and electronic components subjected to elevated temperatures up to 700° F / 350° C for short periods of time while maintaining good spring characteristics.

Applications include thermostats, bellows, diaphragms, burn-in and test sockets (BiTS). Nickel beryllium Alloy 360 is a high reliability material used for corrosion resistant Belleville washers in fire protection sprinkler heads.

ADVANTAGES OF ALLOY 360

Materion’s Alloy 360 has high resistance to wear, corrosion, thermal shock and oxidation from room temperature up to 800° F / 425° C. Other advantages include:

  • Yield strength up to 245 ksi
  • Excellent formability with stress relaxation less than 5% at 400° F
  • Fatigue strength (in reverse bending) of 90 ksi at 10 million cycles
