BERYLLIUM OXIDE POWDER FOR SUPERIOR THERMAL PROPERTIES


Materion manufactures two grades of beryllium oxide powder. The powder is typically supplied in -20 mesh, dry condition. Beryllium oxide powder can be pressed, sintered or extruded into shapes producing a ceramic with superior thermal properties.

BERYLLIUM OXIDE PROPERTIES

Beryllium oxide powder is a highly uniform and it can be sintered to a high density when formed by conventional ceramics technique. BeO powder provides the following properties:

  • High thermal conductivity
  • Great electrical insulation
  • Thermal resistivity

APPLICATIONS FOR BEO POWDER

Beryllium oxide can be sintered into high-density ceramics, which can form critical thermally conductive components for high-performance semiconductor applications, microwave devices, vacuum tubes, gas lasers and magnetrons. We also offer engineered BeO ceramics and alumina ceramics that can be dry pressed, extruded or iso-pressed, to meet your exact need.
