Resources Materion and Swiss-based Synopta GmbH Partner for Space Satellite Success Materion and Swiss-based Synopta GmbH have announced the completion of the latest satellite as part of the Copernicus Earth observation project—an initiative that monitors the changing conditions and general heath of the planet. OSHA Publishes Final Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to Beryllium Standard On December 11, 2018, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published the final Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for the Beryllium Standard for General Industry. The NPRM amends the Beryllium Standard for General Industry (29 CFR 1910.1024) issued January 9, 2017 to clarify certain provisions of the standard in compliance with the Settlement Agreement signed by OSHA and Materion in April 2018. Learn more here. Webinar Rebroadcast: Maximize Results with Copper Alloy Molds | MoldMaking Technology After diamond and silver, copper is the most thermally conductive of the elements. In its pure form, copper is not strong enough to be used as a mold material. However, by alloying copper, it can be made as strong as steel while retaining much of its thermal conductivity.
