QMET 200 STRIP ALLOY: HIGH CONDUCTIVITY. HIGH STRENGTH. EXCELLENT FORMABILITY.

As electronics become more compact, design engineers are challenged to create smaller parts that can handle higher power, high temperature environments. Engineers must also often use materials that meet requirements for quick turnaround times. QMet 200 alloy is the ideal solution for these challenges.

This copper-chromium-nickel-silicon (CuCrNiSi) alloy offers the strength and conductivity customers need along with the best formability in its class. Further, Materion supports flexible order quantities with fast turn-around times, improving our customers’ responsiveness in industries with demanding build schedules.

QMET 300 STRIP ALLOY: HIGHER CONDUCTIVITY. EXCELLENT FORMABILITY.

We are also adding another member to the QMet alloy product family, which enables new designs that were previously unachievable. Our new QMet 300 alloy (copper-chromium-silver) has shown a conductivity greater than all other alloys of similar strength, with sharp formability and stress relaxation resistance comparable to that of copper beryllium. For design engineers, the extra conductivity will allow them to create high current and high heat transfer components for smaller spaces than ever before, making QMet 300 alloy an unmatchable solution in many applications.

We can also accommodate smaller batch orders and shorter lead times for QMet 300, meaning quicker access to these critical materials.

The QMet Alloy Solution

To put it simply, QMet alloys provide benefits that maxed-out commodity alloys can’t. Even as we introduce these two QMet products, we are already exploring new ways to build on these innovations to address our customers’ current needs and anticipate future requirements.
