ENGINEERED SPECIFICALLY FOR RELIABILITY IN OIL & GAS To complement our other high-strength ToughMet tempers, we have engineered two new forms of ToughMet 3 alloys specifically for oil and gas exploration, drilling, completion and production. ToughMet 3 TS95 alloy and TS120U are wrought, spinodally hardened copper-nickel-tin alloys that provide high-impact strength and crack-propagation resistance. These new materials outperform other high-strength alloys, extending the reach and accuracy of oil and gas drilling tools and increasing the reliability of well control, completion and production. BETTER CORROSION RESISTANCE THAN OTHER COPPER ALLOYS ToughMet 3 alloys resists saltwater corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement and chloride stress corrosion cracking better than other copper alloys. It shows low general weight loss in extreme chloride and high pH drilling fluids and resists moderate hydrogen sulfide environments at low pH. FORMS AVAILABLE ToughMet 3 alloys are available in plate, rod, tube, bar, hollow bar, wire, strip and a variety of continuous or investment cast shapes.
