SupremEX aluminum silicon carbide metal matrix composites (MMCs) meet demands for lighter structures and higher precision instruments such as optical systems used for space and defense. With stiffness properties that are comparable with titanium and twice that of aluminum, SupremEX MMCs offer light-weight, rigid and durable structures. MMCs resist corrosion and have a low coefficient of thermal expansion which results in improved reliability and stability in a range of temperatures.
