Home Resource Center Newsletters Materials News-Stats and Chats Summit Gathers Channel Partners in Macao Summit Gathers Channel Partners in Macao Materion Welcomes Sales Representatives Materion’s second annual Channel Partner Summit was held in Macao, China September 20-21. The purpose of the gathering was to network and share information between Materion and its sales representatives. Forty-one channel partners from companies that represent Materion Advanced Materials across the globe participated in the conference. They traveled in from multiple countries, including India, China, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, France the US. The Agenda included formal presentations as well as one-on-one discussions and casual networking. Materion Advanced Materials Group President Don Klimkowicz and his executive team shared corporate updates and discussed the challenges faced by channel partners. Other topics ranged from quality assurance, customer service, legal and compliance issues, and product marketing. Technical topics included manufacturing & operations, microelectronic packaging, PVD thin film materials, inorganic chemical materials, and new products. Sessions were led by Materion Sales Team, Product Managers, Manufacturing & Operations, Marketing, Customer Service, Technical Managers and Legal Counsel from a variety of sites including Milwaukee, WI, Buffalo, NY, Brewster, NY, Mayfield Heights, OH and Singapore. During the Summit, Channel Partner Awards were presented by members of the Materion executive team. Don Klimkowicz, Scott Haluska, Daniel Ha and Simon Osborne honored New Metals Co. Ltd. Japan and Prince & Izant USA for value-added (VA) performance in 2015 and to KST for highest VA increase. PTS France and Phiron Technology Pte Ltd. Singapore were awarded for top VA year-to-date. The winners were presented with a gift from the Materion Sales Team. At the close of the conference, there was agreement that the summit had been worthwhile for all participants. Updated information about Materion’s products and services would be useful for partners in better servicing customers. The networking also fostered closer relationships and better communication between all attendees.
