Summit Gathers Channel Partners in China
Materion Welcomes Sales Representatives
Materion’s first Channel Partner Summit was held in Hangzhou, China July 22 & 23. The purpose of the gathering was to network and share information between Materion and its sales representatives. It was well attended by companies representing Materion Advanced Materials Group across Asia, including Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.
Formal presentations were made as well as casual one-on-one sessions for the 33 attendees. Topics ranged from roles, responsibilities and expectations of channel partners, to market and intelligence sharing, to opportunities and barriers to business growth. Product Managers from across Materion sites, including Milwaukee, WI, Buffalo, NY, Brewster, NY and Singapore, covered topics such as shield cleaning, refining and new product processes. There were also presentations from legal counsel on compliance and ethics, plus an Investor update. Later, the group split into smaller discussion sessions which allowed for active exchanges.
During the Summit, Channel Partner Awards for Asia were presented by Daniel Ha and his Regional Managers to New Metals Co. Ltd. based in Japan and Wuxi Topall Import & Export Co. Ltd. based in China for demonstrating value-added (VA) growth in their regions. The winners were presented with a gift from the Materion Asia Sales Team.
Overall, Materion was complimented on the good relationships established between their employees and the channel partners. There was a consensus that the Summit had raised greater awareness of Materion products and services and this in turn would help channel partners increase their level of customer service.
